I'm single this year and dreading Valentine's Day!

[Source]
Question: This is the first year in a long time that I will most likely be alone for Valentine's Day and I hate it! I feel like calling up an ex and hanging out with him just so he can take me out on Valentine's Day though I know I don't want to pursue anything with him after that. All of my friends have bfs/gfs and it is driving me crazy, especially this time of the year! I've been talking to a few guys but not so sure if they are the type to do anything for Valentine's Day. How can I get through this stupid holiday?! (New York, NY)

I hit "Reply All" by mistake!!!

Question:  So my friend sends a mass email to all of our friends about her birthday party.  She goes off on how she wants to go this really expensive restaurant, then go out to a swanky bar, and has all of these requests.  Basically, she’s telling us to pay for her for all these things which is fine since it’s her birthday, but… a little demanding! Anyway, I meant to respond to my one friend basically saying “WTF – she’s being so demanding!” but accidentally hit reply all and it got sent to all of my other friends – including the friend I was complaining about!  HELP!!! We just started dating... what do I get her for Valentine's Day? Jewelry? Flowers? Help!

Question:  I've been dating this girl for the past few weeks and things are going good between us. We haven't established anything yet and since Valentine's Day is coming up, I was wondering what you think about getting her a present even if we are not exclusive yet. I don't want to seem like I don't care about her if I don't get her anything… but I don't want to scare her away either if I go all out for V-day. Help! (San Diego, CA)

My boyfriend is a flirt! What is appropriate and what isn't?

Question:  I know there's not a list for what is appropriate and what is not, and how I wish there was.  But, my man acts in a way that I would consider inappropriate but he thinks I'm just overly jealous.  So I don't know.  Is it ok that he hugs on chicks, hangs on them, and tells them they're hot?  I know he's a man and when he stops looking I'll have to check his pulse, but shouldn't there be limits when you are in a committed relationship?

Is my daughter gay? How do I deal?

[Source]
Question:  My daughter started college in the fall and I knew something was wrong when she stopped returning my calls (which is unlike her). I decided to go visit her at her dorm one weekend. When I knocked on her door, it was unlocked so I opened it and another girl was half-dressed and laying in bed with my daughter.  I saw my daughter trying to get dressed and cover up.  I was in absolute shock.  I didn't know what to do, so I walked out and left.  I started crying in the car and drove straight home.

I never thought she was into same-sex relationships and though I would like to be open-minded about it, it still bothers me.  I have tried to talk to her since and I always end up crying. I am having a really hard time dealing with this reality and I don't want this to ruin our relationship.  I am in need of help, any advice or coping mechanism will help. (Newton, MA)

I wish all girls made the first move - like Britney Spears!

Britney's new single "Hold It Against Me" leaked today!
Question:  The past two girlfriends I’ve had both were the type that made the first move.  They both told me they liked me and wanted to be with me – it was great!  Now that I’m single, I’m having a hard time approaching girls I’m interested in because I don’t know if they are interested in me.  Before, I knew my girlfriends liked me because they were upfront about it.  Now, all these girls like to play games.  Why can’t all girls just be upfront and make the first move for once? "You have been tagged in a Facebook photo album" = evidence that my friends went out without me!

Can you friends see tagged photos of you on Facebook?
Question:  Me and my two best girl friends are known as “The Trio.”  We do everything together! The other day, I logged onto Facebook and saw that my two friends were tagged in some guy’s photo album.  There were all these photos of my friends out at a bar with some random guys, drinking, having fun and all I could think was… no one ever invited me! I was so shocked and annoyed. My anger then turned to confusion… were they trying to exclude me on purpose? They never exclude me in anything, should I confront them about it or let it go? My girlfriend gave me an STD!

[Source]
Question: I have been dating my girlfriend for 6 months when I learned recently that I got herpes! I asked her about it (because I didn't sleep with anyone else since we've been together) and she said she got it from her ex when they were together but that she never cheated on me. She said she never told me about it because she didn't have an outbreak for a while and didn't think it was serious. I am so mad at her! I don't know what to believe - if she slept with her ex while we've been together or to believe her story? Plus, the fact that she didn't tell me in the first place pisses me off. What should I do? I have to live with this for the rest of my life! (Los Angeles, CA)

Can you be friends with your ex?

Question: I dated my ex-boyfriend for six years and we broke up about a year ago. When we broke up we decided to just be friends and now we hang out with all the same people. Recently, though, I noticed my ex has been hanging out with this one girl whenever we go out. When we go to the bars, they are always dancing and hanging out together. I understand we are broken up but it is just weird for me. The other night, I drank way too much and completely bitched him out for hanging out with this girl because he was all over her in front of me. Now he is mad at me. I don't have feelings for him anymore (in that way), but I wish he wouldn't be all over her in front of me. I would like to continue to be friends with him but it is hard, can you help? (San Francisco, CA)

How do I deal with a boyfriend who is always late?!

Get a watch!
Question:  I give my boyfriend plenty of space for his hobbies, etc. If he doesn't wanna stay with me some nights I never have a problem. What does pi$$ me of is when he says he will be here at a certain time (around abouts) but he always turns up hours later by which time it’s late and he doesn't think anything of it. I will state now before someone calls him a booty call that he doesn’t just come over for sex. I have talked to him about this before and he agreed that it wasn't right but he still does it. I have two kids and other stuff to worry about, not just him. Is the relationship worth it?
